About the Role

As Senior Data Science Manager for Provider Experience, you will define and lead our data science strategy for our providers experience at Headway. You will report into Headway's Provider Experience Group, a mission critical pillar to becoming a practice partner for our providers all on a foundation of trust. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, Design, Clinical and Customer Success leadership to continuously improve our relationships with providers. You will define the right questions, uncover opportunities, and work cross-functionally to turn insights into measurable improvements.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and grow a high-performing team of Data Scientists, fostering a culture of technical excellence and strategic thinking.
  • Develop quarterly roadmaps with cross-functional partners, align Data Science resources, and oversee execution of timely and high-quality work.
  • Drive insights and decisions through strategic analysis, reporting, experimentation and predictive modeling.
  • Obsess over provider experience metrics surfacing gaps and ways to continuously improve them
  • Deep dive into areas we don't fully understand to segment our data and understand where there's opportunities to improve provider experiences.
  • Stay close to the data by tackling strategic projects yourself, identifying underlying trends and areas of opportunity.
  • Translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for executive stakeholders.

What We're Looking For
  • 8+ years of experience in data science or analytics roles.
  • 3+ years of experience managing and developing teams.
  • Strong product mindset and demonstrated success working in Product
  • Proven success partnering cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Data, Design, Operations, Clinical and Customer Success teams
  • Proficiency in forecasting, experimentation, causal inference
  • Experience with data modeling, ideally using dbt.
  • Hands-on technical fluency in SQL and Python or R.
  • Experience adopting and championing AI-assisted tools to accelerate and automate data workflows.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

The expected base pay range for this position is $212,000 - $265,000, based on a variety of factors including qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for an equity grant, depending on the position and level.
