Senior Manager, Construction Delivery Tools & Technology, NA

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced, strategic and hands-on leader to own how technology and data enable our construction delivery organization.

This role starts with the business. The Senior Manager, Business Tools & Technology will work closely with field, project and functional teams to understand how work actually gets done, identify the most important problems to solve, and design technology and data solutions around real user needs.

This person will own the path from problem to solution, including defining requirements, shaping our technology strategy, evaluating and implementing solutions, leading pilots, connecting data across the organization, driving adoption, and measuring whether solutions deliver meaningful value.

This is a senior-level individual contributor role on a lean team. We need someone who can set the strategy and drive the work forward.

What You'll Own

1. Understand the business and design around the user

• Develop a deep understanding of our teams, workflows, pain points and unmet needs.

• Translate real-world use cases into clear business, technology and data requirements.

• Design solutions around how teams need to work, rather than forcing users to adapt to technology.

• Stay close to users after implementation to confirm solutions solve the intended problem.

2. Own the Delivery technology strategy

• Develop and drive a holistic technology strategy and roadmap for the Delivery organization.

• Own, manage, assess and evolve our full technology ecosystem, including what we use, why we use it, how tools connect, and where gaps or unnecessary complexity exist.

• Drive decisions on where to simplify, integrate, enhance, replace, retire or introduce capabilities.

• Identify opportunities to use technology, automation and AI to improve how we deliver.

3. Drive solutions from concept through execution

• Own priority initiatives from problem definition through implementation, adoption and measurement.

• Bring together business teams, enterprise technology partners and vendors to move initiatives forward.

• Create clear business cases, requirements, implementation approaches and measures of success.

• Drive decisions, resolve ambiguity and maintain momentum across complex cross-functional work.

4. Lead technology pilots and innovation

• Own the evaluation and piloting of emerging technologies.

• Define the use case, scope, users, success criteria and measures before launching a pilot.

• Drive pilots, gather user feedback and evaluate results.

• Make clear recommendations to scale, modify or stop based on demonstrated business value.

5. Make sense of our data and technology ecosystem

• Understand how information is created, captured, connected and used across Delivery.

• Partner across the enterprise to improve data consistency, accessibility and usability.

• Create clarity across platforms, integrations, reporting and data sources.

• Look holistically across people, process, data and technology rather than solving problems in isolation.

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of experience in business technology, digital transformation, technology strategy, business systems, operational excellence or similar roles.

• Demonstrated experience owning complex technology initiatives from business need through implementation and adoption.

• Strong user-focused mindset and experience translating business problems into practical technology solutions.

• Experience evaluating technology portfolios and making strategic recommendations about what to build, buy, integrate, improve or retire.

• Experience leading technology pilots with clearly defined success criteria and measurable outcomes.

• Strong analytical skills and comfort working directly with data, systems, integrations and data flows.

• Proven ability to drive work across functions and influence without direct authority.

• Strong executive communication skills and the ability to turn complexity into clear recommendations and decisions.

• Experience succeeding as a hands-on senior individual contributor in a lean, fast-moving environment.

• Experience with enterprise platforms, analytics, automation or emerging AI technologies.

Preferred

• Background in construction, engineering, infrastructure, data centers or another complex operating environment preferred but not required

The Person We're Looking For

You are a builder and a problem solver. You start with “What are we trying to solve, and what do our users actually need?” - not “What tool should we buy?”

You can step into a complex environment, see the bigger picture, create structure and personally drive the work needed to make it better. You are equally comfortable talking with field teams, working through data, challenging a vendor, partnering with enterprise technology teams, and presenting a recommendation to senior leadership.

You do not just identify what should change. You own making the change happen.

We operate with No Ego and No Arrogance. We work to build each other up and support one another, appreciating each other’s strengths and respecting each other’s weaknesses. We find joy in our work and each other, actively seeking opportunities to inject fun into what we do. Our hard and efficient work is rewarded with an above market total compensation package. We offer a comprehensive suite of health and welfare, retirement, and paid leave benefits exceeding local expectations.

Throughout the year, the advantage of being part of the Vantage team is evident with an array of benefits, recognition, training and development, and the knowledge that your contribution adds value to the company and our community.

Don't meet all the requirements? Please still apply if you think you are the right person for the position. We are always keen to speak to people who connect with our mission and values.

We’ll be accepting applications for at least one week from the date this role is posted. If you're interested, we encourage you to apply soon—we’re excited to find the right person and will keep the role open until we do!
