- A self-starter who works well in an agile, fast-moving environment and is comfortable wearing multiple hats. You are just as comfortable rolling your sleeves owning day-to-day tasks, as you are getting involved in high-level strategy.
- A strong writer and editor who adapts easily across formats, from press releases, bylines, and op-eds to executive talking points, social posts, newsletters, and web copy.
- Experienced in media relations, with established reporter relationships or the ability to build them quickly, and a working knowledge of media monitoring and coverage analysis - ideally with relevant industry publications.

- Calm and sound under pressure. You've supported issues and crisis communications and know when to escalate, how to coordinate with legal and functional owners, and how to protect the company's reputation.

- Data-minded and focused on results. You measure share of voice, engagement, and message penetration, and you turn the numbers into practical recommendations.
- Discreet and trustworthy with confidential information, and a collaborator who works well with executives, investor relations, legal, HR, and commercial teams.
