Full Job Description
Job title: Senior Manager, Business Strategy & Intelligence

Location: Remote
About the Role

InMarket is looking for a Senior Manager, Business Strategy & Intelligence to help leadership understand what is happening across the business, why it is happening, and what we should do next.

This is a newly created role for someone who is naturally curious, highly analytical, and commercially minded. You see a number move and want to understand why. You ask the next question when the first answer doesn't make sense. You connect data across products, customers, markets, and teams to uncover insights and develop a clear point of view.

Working directly with the CFO and senior leaders, you will take ambiguous business questions from question 12 analysis 12 insight 12 recommendation 12 executive conversation. You won't own the execution of every recommendation, but you will own the quality and clarity of the thinking behind it.
Your daily impact as a Senior Manager, Business Strategy & Intelligence
  • Understand the business: Develop a deep understanding of our products, customers, revenue model, and go-to-market motion, and identify the questions that matter most.
  • Analyze performance: Use data to understand product adoption, revenue, customer behavior, win/loss patterns, pricing, retention, expansion, and other business drivers.
  • Solve ambiguous problems: Structure complex questions, determine what needs to be known, investigate the data, identify root causes, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Inform strategy: Evaluate product, pricing, packaging, customer, GTM, and investment opportunities and help leadership determine where to invest, change direction, or test something new.
  • Understand customers and the market: Identify shifts in customer behavior, competitive positioning, product demand, and market dynamics and translate them into business implications.
  • Build a test agenda: Identify opportunities to test new ideas and define success measures before a test begins.
  • Make analysis repeatable: Automate recurring analysis and workflows so the organization can access important insights without starting from scratch.
  • Close data gaps: Partner with Informatics to identify important questions we can't currently answer and determine what data or instrumentation is needed.

The questions you'll help answer include: What's driving growth? Why are we winning or losing business? What is driving customer behavior? What should we change about our product, pricing, or GTM approach? Where should we invest more or less? What should we test next?
What Success Looks Like

90 days: You understand our products, customers, business model, and key performance drivers; establish a prioritized set of business questions; and deliver your first strategic recommendation.

6 months: Leadership relies on a repeatable analytical cadence to understand performance, identify opportunities and risks, and inform decisions.

12 months: Your work has influenced meaningful decisions across product, pricing, customers, GTM, or investment - and you've built repeatable processes that continue to create value.
Your Experience & Expertise
  • 7-10 years of experience in strategy, business operations, management consulting, product strategy, strategic analytics, or a related field, including meaningful experience inside an operating company.
  • Strong understanding of how products, customers, revenue, and go-to-market connect, ideally in a data-driven B2B environment.
  • Proven ability to take an ambiguous business problem, structure it, analyze the underlying data, and develop a recommendation.
  • Strong SQL and analytical skills with a willingness to get into the data yourself. Experience with modern BI tools, BigQuery, and Salesforce is a plus.
  • Strong product curiosity and commercial judgment. You care about why the numbers look the way they do and whether an insight should actually change a business decision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting your own analysis and recommendations to senior executives.
  • Comfortable working independently in a lean environment and owning the question, analysis, and recommendation.
  • Experience using AI as part of your everyday analytical workflow.
  • Experience in adtech, martech, measurement, SaaS, or another data-driven B2B business is a plus.
AI-Native by Design

AI should be part of how you work every day; from research and SQL to data analysis, synthesis, and workflow automation. The goal isn't simply to work faster; it's to create more capacity for the judgment-intensive work of asking better questions, connecting information, identifying patterns, and determining what they mean for the business. We expect rigor: executive-facing analysis must be traceable to its source, and AI-generated work must be validated before it informs a recommendation.
How This Role Works

You will report directly to the CFO and work across Product, Sales, Marketing, Informatics, Finance, and other functional leaders.

You will have significant autonomy in determining which questions are worth pursuing and how to approach them. You are responsible for the insight and recommendation, while the relevant functional teams own execution.

This is not FP&A, a reporting role, a pure data analytics role, or a program management role. The focus is business strategy; using data and product knowledge to understand what is happening, determine why, and recommend what should happen next.
Benefits & Compensation
  • Competitive salary, stock options, flexible vacation
  • Medical, dental and Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
  • Company Matched 401(k)
  • Unlimited PTO (within reason)
  • Talented co-workers and management
  • Agile Development Program (For continued learning/professional development)
  • Paid Paternity & Maternity Leave

For candidates in California, Colorado, New York City, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, and Massachusetts, the Targeted Base Salary Range for this role is $125,000 -$150,000.

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to work experience, specialized skills and training, performance in role, business needs, and job requirements. Base salary is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Base salary is just one component of InMarket's total rewards package that also may include bonus, equity, and benefits.
