About the roleThe Senior Manager of Accounting is responsible for leading and overseeing the Company's general accounting operations, financial analysis, and consolidation processes. This role ensures the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting while safeguarding the Company's assets, including oversight of global cash management and investment balances. The position also drives the development, administration, analysis, and review of key management reports and plays a leadership role in a variety of strategic and cross-functional special projects that support business objectives and operational excellence.
This position is based at Leviton's Corporate Headquarters in Melville, NY.
Responsibilities - Lead, plan, organize, and direct the activities of the Corporate General Accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Provide oversight of accounting operations at subsidiary locations, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
- Oversee the preparation of consolidated cashflow monthly statements.
- Responsible for cash forecasting, liquidity analysis, banking relationships and execution of investment decisions in accordance with Company policy and risk guidelines.
- Performs monthly and year end general ledger close in accordance with Leviton Corporate timelines, policies and US GAAP.
- Leverage technology solutions, including Microsoft Copilot to enhance productivity, automate workflows, and support more efficient finance processes.
- Partner with Finance leadership, participating in the annual budget process.
- Prepare analysis as requested by management that is accurate and timely to support senior management in their strategic operating decisions.
- Recruit, mentor, develop, and train accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and high performance.
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve department processes, policies, and procedures, ensuring appropriate documentation and compliance.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors, support audit activities, and implement agreed-upon recommendations and process improvements.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
Qualifications- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including general Accounting Principles
- This individual must have good interpersonal relationship skills and be capable of leading and motivating a group of people to accomplish the objectives set-up for his/her department.
- Must have advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Power BI, including the ability to develop and interpret dashboards, reports and financial analytics to support management decision making.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Copilot and experience using AI-enabled tools, including Copilot agents to improve productivity, automate workflows, drive process improvements within finance function.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Education & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Finance and/or Accounting required. CPA and/or MBA preferred.
- Minimum 6 years in an accounting role, and experience managing others.
- Experience managing others; providing leadership and guidance, management of workload, and staff development.
Travel- Approximately 10% travel expected

Pay Range$140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
