Job Description
The Advanced Radar program provides engineering and technical services necessary to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center - Port Hueneme Division's (PHD) mission, including In-Service Engineering, Acquisition Engineering, Software Support (ISE/AE/SSA), Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Installation Services/Support/Coordination, Programmatic/ Project Management Support, and Staging Facility Support Services. For this specific position, the candidate will provide direct technical support to the Government In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) as a Senior Logistics Management Specialist. The Senior Logistics Management Specialist will support life cycle maintenance and integrated logistics product development for Naval Surveillance and Advanced Radar Systems Acquisition, fielding, modernization efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with Technical Data management to include new and legacy systems. Support the development of legacy manual revisions, new Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) and embedded technical data for new systems
- Respond to Technical Manual Deficiency Evaluation Reports (TMDERs). Prepare, review, and update PMS packages
- Update system drawings (ICDs, SCDs, etc). Prepare, package, and distribute documentation. Review and provide comments on OEM developed technical manuals
- Maintain master copy of all IETMs and TMs for reproduction purposes. Support Validation/Verification (VAL/VER) and M-DEMO events if applicable
- Participate in maintenance planning and analysis.
- Provide logistics support analysis, provisioning data input and maintenance planning support. Document discrepancies and recommend corrections via the Preventative Maintenance System (PMS) Technical Feedback Report (TFBR) process
- Provide supply support assisting with inventory control, interim spares management, and Allowable Parts List (APL) management.
- Develop and maintain maintenance plans and provisioning data to include long lead items, interim spares list, Allowance Change Request (ACR), Nomenclature requests, and Installation and checkout (INCO) spares list.
- Provide expertise in Interactive Computer Aided Provisioning System (ICAPS), APL/Allowance Equipage List (AEL), Coordinated Shipboard Allowance List (COSAL), Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) and Maintenance Demonstration (MDemo).
- Develop and maintain installation and checkout procedures.
- Respond to Automated Fleet COSAL Feedback Reports (A-FCFBRs).
- Prepare and review Program Support Data (PSD) Sheets.
- Provide parts support by receiving, inspecting, repairing, packaging, procuring, and shipping items
- Coordinate and interface with NAVSEA IWS, NSWC PHD, other government activities, and various contractor offices for meetings, program schedules, milestones and product deliveries.
Job Requirements
Educational Requirements: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in technical or logistics field is required. For equivalency purposes, two years of experience with Naval Combat Systems Integration is considered equivalent to formal education/training.
An Active Secret Clearance.
Will require existing CAC eligibility to be considered for the position.
Preferred Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat Pro
Experience: - Ten (10) years' general experience in conducting logistics support for Combat Systems is required
- A minimum of five (5) years of logistics support experience with Naval Surveillance and Advanced Radar Systems
- A comprehensive working knowledge of US Navy and Department of Defense Logistics Systems including supply processes, C5RA requirements, stock control, warehousing, inventory management, depot level repair, production, integration design, and physical distribution of supplies. A thorough knowledge and documented use of software systems/databases used for logistics support of US Navy material. Duties of the position include interpreting shipboard installation drawings, allowance parts lists (APLs), and ILS Certifications to prepare work files in support of C4I system installations, as well as extracting data from NDE to support deliver of ILS packages.
