The RoleWe are seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager to lead go-to-market strategy for Lumen's secure access portfolio - SASE, Zero Trust Network Access - together with our Public Sector solutions. This is a product marketing role that works across Marketing, Sales, Product, Partner, and other teams to translate a converging network and security portfolio into positioning that solves real customer problems and drives measurable business outcomes.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Product Marketing, you will own the narrative that connects secure connectivity to buyer priorities in both commercial and government markets. You will define value propositions, build the enablement that helps sellers and partners win, and serve as the subject matter expert for your portfolio.
Location and ScheduleThis is a fully remote position open to candidates based anywhere in the U.S. Occasional travel is expected for customer meetings, industry events, and government-focused conferences.
The Main Responsibilities- Own and execute the go-to-market strategy for SASE, Alkira ZTNA - from positioning and messaging through launch, adoption, and revenue performance - in alignment with organizational and product management frameworks.
- Build a unified secure networking narrative that explains how these capabilities work together and individually, and defend that differentiation against competitive alternatives.
- Lead product marketing for Public Sector solutions, tailoring portfolio messaging to federal, state, local, and education buyers and reflecting the compliance, procurement, and mission requirements that shape those decisions.
- Craft value propositions and messaging that resonate with both technical evaluators and executive buyers, translating architectural concepts into language that closes business.
- Partner with product management, sales engineering, partner marketing, and demand generation to bring launches to market and keep messaging current as the portfolio evolves.
- Develop sales and partner enablement - such as battle cards, solution briefs, competitive positioning, customer-facing presentations, demo narratives, and technical FAQs - and deliver the training that makes those assets stick.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for stakeholders including analysts, marketing peers, and field teams managing opportunities that hinge on articulating security and network architecture. Conduct market, buyer, and competitive analysis
- across the SASE, ZTNA, and multicloud networking landscape, feeding insights back into marketing strategy, product direction, and roadmap discussions.
- Support key pursuits directly by participating in customer and prospect conversations, responding to technical inquiries, and acting as an expert resource for the field.
- Manage the technology partner marketing motion for the secure networking ecosystem, including joint launches, co-branded content, and partner sales enablement.
- Measure and optimize performance throughout the product lifecycle, tying marketing activity to pipeline, revenue, and adoption rather than activity counts alone.
What We Look For in a Candidate- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, computer science, engineering, cybersecurity, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience in product marketing, technical marketing, product management, or technical pre-sales in the technology, cybersecurity, or telecommunications industry.
- Demonstrated experience marketing SASE, SSE, ZTNA, network security, or software-defined and multicloud networking solutions.
- Working knowledge of network as a service and multicloud networking platforms, and a solid grasp of networking concepts, security protocols, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience marketing to both commercial and Public Sector buyers, including familiarity with federal, state, local, and education procurement dynamics and compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, CMMC, TIC 3.0, and Zero Trust mandates.
- Proven track record of leading product launches and go-to-market programs that delivered pipeline and revenue growth, ideally in a matrixed enterprise organization. Experience building strategic technology partnerships and joint marketing motions, including partner sales enablement.
- Superior written and verbal communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to make complex technical ideas clear and persuasive for different audiences and channels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market trends and performance data and act on them.
- Ability to lead and influence without direct authority across cross-functional teams, operate with high autonomy, and mentor less experienced teammates.
- Customer-centric and creative, with a growth mindset and a drive for excellence.
