Responsibilities

  • Manage interactions with contractors for project delivery

Overview

Senior Laboratory to join their growing Los Angeles or San Diego studio.

Candidates should have the following skill-set:

  • Passion for the complexities of laboratory architecture
  • Ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic team environment
  • Ability to organize and lead occupant/user meetings
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Creative problem solving
  • Strong verbal, written and graphic communication skills
  • Ability to lead and mentor others in execution of laboratory projects
  • Experience and knowledge in the following:
    • Building codes and agency requirements (OSHPD, DSA, etc.)
    • Building engineering systems and coordination with consultants
    • Working with contractors/trades in collaborative delivery
    • Development and QA/QC of contract documentation (drawings and specifications)


Qualifications

Preferred candidates will have:

  • Minimum of 12 years' experience with the planning, design, coordination and documentation of academic, research and healthcare laboratory projects
  • Experience working within a large in-house team-based structure and ability to lead coordination efforts with a variety of consultants
  • Extensive experience with client interaction and external project team management
  • Proficient in Revit/BIM production for large scale buildings
  • Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Architecture required
  • Professional license required, license within the State of California preferred
  • LEED-AP BD+C preferred
