Summary

The Senior Kubernetes Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and management of enterprise-scale Kubernetes platforms. This role requires deep technical expertise in container orchestration, microservices architecture, and cloud-native technologies. The position combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic platform development, focusing on scalability, security, and automation of Kubernetes environments across multiple clouds and on-premises installations.

Primary Job Functions

This section describes the primary /essential responsibilities that this job performs.
  • Actively design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions across multiple platforms (Azure, Google Cloud) as well as implementations into Kubernetes platforms, and understand the concept of cattle vs pets, but the reality of which is which, why, and how to build solutions around that.
  • Design and implement enterprise-scale Kubernetes clusters and supporting infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain custom Kubernetes operators and controllers
  • Create and optimize CI/CD pipelines for Kubernetes deployments
  • Implement security best practices and compliance controls
  • Design and implement multi-cluster management solutions
  • Architect high-availability and disaster recovery solutions
  • Develop automation for cluster lifecycle management
  • Implement service mesh and networking solutions
  • Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Optimize cluster performance and resource utilization
  • Implement observability and monitoring solutions
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to team members
