Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in building and shipping iOS applications, preferably in healthcare or medical devices.
• Proficient in Swift, including modern features like actors, async/await, and generics.
• Strong experience with SwiftUI; knowledge of UIKit, CoreData, and CoreBluetooth.
• Familiar with Apple’s design guidelines and accessibility standards.
• Understanding of mobile security practices, specifically in healthcare (HIPAA, encryption).
• Experienced with RESTful APIs and mobile app testing using XCTest or Swift Testing.
• Able to work with both new and legacy codebases.

Responsibilities

• Lead the launch of the next-generation iOS app and oversee post-release enhancements.
• Develop new features for insulin pump devices to improve user experience for patients and caregivers.
• Maintain and support the legacy iOS app during the transition to the new application.
• Contribute to the core components that will support a future Android version, focusing on quality and testability.
• Collaborate with engineers, managers, and designers to produce clean, well-tested code.
• Ensure compliance with medical device standards and regulatory requirements, including FDA and ISO guidelines.
• Implement best practices for data security within mobile applications.
