RESPONSIBILITIES
Job InformationThis individual will work as part of the U.S. FinTech Internal Audit function to provide independent, objective assurance of corporate function and business operational processes and provide strategic and impactful advisory to management. Primarily execute and report on audit engagements and issue validation, prepare audit work papers, draft finding reports and liaise with management with regard to the design of, monitoring and improving U.S. FinTech's internal controls. This role will report to an Audit Coverage Director that reports to the Chief Audit Executive.
Key Job Functions
- Support the annual internal audit plan by completing audits efficiently, effectively, and within predetermined budgets in accordance with the annual audit plan.
- Execute internal audits of key company functions, processes, and control activities, in accordance with IIA’s Global Standards and U.S. FinTech IA methodology through completion of walkthroughs, execution of engagement testing, substantive procedures, and other special reviews/advisory engagements for financial, operational, compliance, risk, and/or integrated audit engagements.
- Complete and provide timely statuses of assigned tasks to engagement team leader in a manner that is clear and concise ensuring high quality and timely completion of deliverables.
- Draft issues and discuss with management teams and work with them to develop mitigation plans.
- Assist in the preparation of audit reports and help ensure audit issues are factual, practical, and sustainable.
- Perform follow-ups on audit and other assurance provider issues and management actions as well as testing to validate management’s remediation efforts.
- Assist in ongoing risk assessment activities, including quarterly, annual, and post engagement assessments of auditable entities.
- Collaborate and interact with U.S. FinTech functions as directed.
- Maintain continuous professional development and education within the IA profession and specifically in the areas covered in the assigned portfolio of auditable entities.
- Stay current on latest regulatory and industry developments, and trends within the IA profession and in the areas covered in the assigned portfolio of auditable entities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, computer science-related or business-related fields.
Minimum Experience
- Minimum 5 years of related work experience in Internal Audit, consulting and/or control testing function within an organization’s Human Resources, Compliance, Enterprise Risk, Operations, or Finance Functions.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring employer sponsorship currently or in the future. U.S. FinTech does not offer H-1B sponsorship for this position.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills
- Internal audit experience at a financial service institution and/or FinTech organizations.
- Experience in analyzing business processes to identify potential risks and assessment of impact and likelihood.
- Experience using or supporting artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), or advanced data analytics tools in an internal audit environment.
- Solid understanding of the Institute of Internal Audit’s (IIA) Global IA Standards and their application to audit activities.
- Working knowledge/solid understanding and ability to test of Financial, Regulatory, Operational and Technology risks and controls.
- Familiarity with assessing and testing IT general controls and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) / Anti-Money Laundering (AML) controls.
- Familiarity of data analytic driven tools and techniques, including descriptive and predictive analytics.
- Solid time management and teamwork abilities, strong verbal and written communications and conflict resolution capabilities.
- Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively and confidently interact with management.
- Familiarity with Mortgage / Securitization market processes.
- Certifications preferred (or in progress of acquiring): CIA, CPA, CFE, CISA, and/or CAMS.
Pay Range $109,250 to $125,500
U.S. FinTech's pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
