Role: Interior Designer 5/Interior Designer 6
Primary Functions: This individual is a key person to the project team. They work under light supervision and have extensive experience in all phases of interior architectural projects and their management. This individual serves as the primary contact with clients, consultants, and public agencies on all assigned projects. They will direct the work of others. License/NCIDQ is required.
Accountable: Principals/Project Manager
Target Utilization Rate: 80% depending on marketing/leadership participation
Classification: Salaried, exempt
Licensing: NCIDQ/License required
Project Leadership: Responsible for winning work and managing other team leaders
Firm Leadership: Active in all Aspects of Practice management
Minimum Qualifications:
- Professional License/NCIDQ required
- Honest, direct and constructive communication
- Substantial knowledge of all phases of the design process
- Lead individuals/groups of people, including consultants, to successful project completion
- Professionally represent the firm to the client and community
- Maintain long-term client relationships and win work
- Competence in computer software including Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, specification writing software
Essential Job Functions:
- Acts as a project manager and/or project leader in a team environment
- Determines standards for project development
- Leads the development of the interior design concept and interpret clients' needs
- Leads program development
- Lead/participate in all project phase charrettes; project kick-off; schematic design, design development and construction documents
- Interprets technical codes and research when needed
- Participates in interview, internal staffing management, and revenue management
- Leads/participates in project budget development and management
- Leads marketing efforts to win work
- Acts as a mentor to project team
- Grows in their profession
- Upholds the firm's core values
- Performs other duties as assigned

- Salary is $100,000 - $120,000 per year DOE
- Vacation Pay of 2 to 4 weeks per year, depending on years in career
