Full Job Description
The Opportunity

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Support multiple Industrial Water and other Market Sector projects with advanced engineering solutions and technical challenges.
  • Lead execution and take overall responsibility for I&C design projects as well as coordinate I&C engineering efforts for large multi-discipline projects
  • Manage and coordinate marketing, planning, design and construction phase services for automation, instrumentation, control and SCADA projects for Industrial Water and Wastewater systems.
  • Monitor and control project schedule and budgets and assist with proposals and presentations in response to sales opportunities
  • Provide interface by attending client and contractor meetings, performing field investigations, attending factory acceptance testing and helping to resolve I&C client and construction issues.
  • Create relationships with industrial clients in North America. Act as a liaison between U.S. and global design teams and clients.

The Instrumentation & Control department is a global team specializing in instrumentation, control systems, wireless communications, networks, and cybersecurity for all BV Market Sectors and Solutions. Our team provides a full range of services including consulting, master planning, assessments, conceptual design, detailed design, EPC, design-build, construction support, field services, testing, commissioning, resident engineering, staff augmentation, training, on-call services, and system implementation, configuration, and programing.

Management Responsibilities

Supervises work of others. Responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates.

Preferred Qualifications

  • The successful candidate will possess a mix of excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated management capabilities, I&C Industrial Water design experience, and broad I&C technical knowledge.
  • 15 years' experience in instrumentation, control, and automation design consulting with a variety of project delivery experience ( EPC, FEL/FEED, Design Build or Services)
  • 7 years' experience in Industrial Water in one or more of the following industries:
    • Data Centers
    • Semiconductor
    • Mining
    • Food and Beverage
    • Pharmaceuticals
    • Life Sciences
    • Power
    • Oil & Gas
  • Provide expertise in instrumentation systems, process analyzers, PLC, DCS, SCADA, and HMI systems, and industrial communication networks.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Experienced with network diagrams, instrument device schedules, Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID), instrument schedules, input/output lists, instrument installation details, instrument loop diagrams, control narratives, and technical specifications.
  • Experienced with coordinating multi-discipline workflow process to meet budget and schedule goals.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving, leadership, and team management abilities.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing or equivalent experience in Engineering work
  • Minimum of 11 years related work experience
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
  • Holds an active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects in applicable countries, and supports where necessary.
