Senior Import/Export Logistics Trade Analyst

In this highly visible position, you will help ensure international trade compliance, optimize cross-border logistics operations, and drive continuous improvements that support our global supply chain and customers.
This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

Compensation for this role will be determined by the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and relevant knowledge.
What you will do:
- Ensure compliance with Lonza policies and international trade regulations by reviewing import/export transactions, customs documentation, and declarations.
- Optimize the cross-border movement of materials and products by auditing logistics processes, service provider activities, and trade documentation.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to trade compliance, customs requirements, supply chain disruptions, and Incoterms responsibilities.
- Provide operational oversight for shipments, including monitoring, tracking, issue resolution, and coordination with carriers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and 3PL partners.
- Develop and maintain local work instructions aligned with global policies, while educating internal stakeholders on trade compliance, SAP processes, transportation requirements, and regulatory expectations.
- Manage and evaluate third-party logistics providers through performance reviews, KPI tracking, audits, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
- Analyze logistics and trade data to identify efficiency opportunities, improve compliance, reduce risk, and support strategic decision-making across the supply chain.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, International Trade, or a related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Advanced experience in supply chain logistics, international transportation, and global trade compliance.
- Strong knowledge of import/export regulations, customs requirements, and applicable government agency regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and improve international logistics operations while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Experience analyzing logistics, trade, and compliance data to support risk mitigation, cost optimization, and operational improvements.
- Proven success managing relationships with logistics service providers, including carriers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics partners.
- Professional certifications such as APICS CLTD, import/customs compliance, or export regulatory certifications are preferred.
