In this role, you will lead and manage projects from concept through construction closeout, providing creative, project-specific approaches that address complex challenges and support meaningful outcomes. You will oversee all aspects of project delivery, including client relationships, team coordination, quality, safety, scope, budget, profitability, and schedule management, while ensuring projects are executed efficiently and to the highest standards. Working closely with engineers, designers, and technical specialists, you will contribute to the development of construction drawings, specifications, power studies, calculations, cost estimates, project plans, and technical documentation that support successful project delivery.

As a key member of our team, you will play an important role in fostering collaboration across GHD's US East region and beyond. You will build strong relationships with business groups spanning Environment, Water, Transportation, the Design & Delivery Organization, and our Federal Team, creating opportunities to deliver integrated solutions for existing and future Property & Buildings clients. You will also lead and support the preparation of proposals, RFQs, and strategic pursuits, helping to grow our project portfolio and strengthen client partnerships. Success in this role requires a proactive mindset, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively across regions, sectors, and disciplines while supporting the execution of a diverse range of projects throughout the United States and internationally.

Our Hybrid Work Model:

Be part of the dynamic culture! Our workplace thrives on a hybrid model, combining in-office collaboration and flexibility. Join us in the office three days a week to contribute, connect and excel in our vibrant environment.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
  • Client & Customer Management (External): Manage important client relationships with or oversee relationship management with a group of more transactional clients and customers.
  • Community of Practice Management: Participate in and contribute to a community of practice in a defined area of expertise or consulting to build own capability and develop innovative practice among colleagues.
  • Contract Management: Manage a portfolio of contracts and negotiate service-level agreements. Will also plan, coordinate, and supervise activities relating to major contracts.
  • Engineering Solutions Design: Design engineering solutions and the associated validation process to enable the realization of a design brief (for example, in terms of functionality, performance, aesthetics, and cost) that conform to organizational and/or regulatory standards.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment: Monitor and review performance against health, safety, and environment (HSE) key performance indicators (KPIs) and patterns of behavior within the area of responsibility. Take action to improve performance and to resolve noncompliance with the organization's HSE policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions.
  • Improvement/Innovation: Identify shortcomings in existing business practices, then suggest and implement improvements while developing and delivering projects or a work stream within the organization's change management program.
  • Knowledge Management System: Manage the knowledge management system with guidance from senior colleagues. May involve responsibility for the development or operation of the system.
  • Organizational Capability Building: Use the organization's formal development framework to identify the team's individual development needs. Plan and implement actions, including continuing professional development specified by professional or regulatory institutions, to build their professional capabilities. Provide informal training or coaching to others throughout the organization in own area of expertise to enable others to improve performance and fulfill personal potential.
  • Product and Solution Development: Analyze and evaluate the feasibility and relevance of proposed complex products and services and develop and amend, as necessary, with guidance from senior colleagues. May also be responsible for supervising activities performed by a specialist team.
  • Request for Bid Solicitation/Proposal/Tender Response: Gather information and resources, draft and complete proposals, and fulfill all process requirements (in terms of deadlines, documentation, etc.) in response to complex bid solicitations, request for proposal, and request for tender to create the best chance of being awarded the contract.
