We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our PP&L team. The Senior HR Generalist leads and supports the HR function at PP&L, with a focus on workforce planning/recruiting, compliance, employee relations, and operational partnership. This role acts as a strategic partner to the site leadership, helping drive performance, engagement, and compliance in a seasonal environment. The position has one direct report, an HR Assistant.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Partner with site leadership to align HR strategies with business goals.
- Coach managers on leadership, performance management, and employee development.
- Identify training needs and support leadership development.
- Oversee seasonal recruiting efforts.
- Lead workforce planning for peak seasons.
- Conduct investigations and support employee relations issues up to resolution.
- Advise on disciplinary actions, terminations, and performance improvement plans.
- Support with payroll to ensure accurate timekeeping and pay practices.
- Manage and track FMLA and other employee leave programs.
- Assist with data entry and maintain employee records on HRMS.
- Support all HR and company event planning activities.
- Participate in Lean projects and activities.
- Maintain audit ready HR documentation and records.
- Promote a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Responsible for the compliance of I9 and E-Verify processes at the PPL site.

- Strong knowledge of HR practices, California employment law and compliance.

- Ability to coach and support leaders on employee relations and performance.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:- 5-7 years in Human Resources experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and HRIS systems.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods in both office and greenhouse settings.
- Work indoors and outdoors, exposure to varying temperatures and humidity levels.
- Frequent use of a computer, including typing and viewing screens for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

PAY RANGE: $80,00.00-$100,000.00/year
Pay rate is determined by various components including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The pay rate is one component of the total compensation package. Other rewards vary by position and location.
