Job Summary

The HCM Senior System Analyst - Workday serves as a lead functional analyst and production support subject-matter expert for the HRIS platform in a complex healthcare environment. This role is responsible for advanced troubleshooting, solution design, and operational stability across HCM, Recruiting, Absence, Compensation, Performance, Learning, Manager Self-Service (MSS), and Employee Self-Service (ESS), Regulatory Audits and Reporting.

The HCM Senior System Analyst partners closely with HR Operations, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Compensation, Leave Management, Payroll, IT, and leadership to drive system optimization, manage complex issues, and support strategic initiatives while ensuring compliance with healthcare, regulatory, and audit requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the functional SME for Workday Benefits, Core HCM, MSS, ESS, and Reporting.
  • Support Benefits and HR Operations by resolving production issues and providing day-to-day functional support.
  • Partner with Benefits, HR, Payroll, and IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams for enhancements and issue resolution.
  • Lead and coordinate Workday Open Enrollment activities, including configuration validation, testing, and issue management.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, and data validations.
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solutions.
  • Create and execute test plans, test scripts, UAT, and regression testing for system enhancements and releases.
  • Perform data audits and validation activities to ensure data integrity, compliance, and reporting accuracy.
  • Support Workday releases, system upgrades, business process improvements, and regulatory audit requirements.
  • Provide recommendations for process optimization and continuous improvement across Benefits and HCM functions.
  • Maintain documentation, configuration records, knowledge articles, and standard operating procedures.


Qualifications
  • 10+ years of HRIS or HCM experience
  • 7+ years of hands-on Workday Benefits and Core HCM experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with Workday Benefits and Core HCM.
  • Proven experience leading or supporting Workday Open Enrollment
  • Strong Workday Reporting and Data Validation experience
  • Experience with UAT, test script creation, and production support
  • Experience serving as a liaison between business and IT teams
  • Knowledge of ACA, COBRA, benefits eligibility, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with Workday Releases and Change Management processes.
  • Experience with EIBs, Workday reporting tools, and business process configuration.
  • Experience developing Workday reports, dashboards, and calculated fields.
  • Experience with Workday Releases and Change Management processes.
  • Healthcare industry experience preferred but not required
