Full Job Description
⚠ This is a fully in-person position based at Galen College of Nursing's Dallas campus. Candidates must be able to work on-site during regular business hours. This role is not remote or hybrid. Position Overview: As a Senior HRBP at Galen College of Nursing, you will serve as a strategic advisor to campus and regional leadership, championing Galen's values and culture of excellence across a multi-campus environment. This role leads initiatives in organizational effectiveness, talent mobility, employee engagement, and inclusion that directly support Galen's growth and student success. Partnering across HR, IT, and Learning & Organizational Development, the Senior HRBP delivers data-driven insights, equitable career progression, and a high-quality employee experience while balancing enterprise-wide consistency with responsiveness to campus-specific needs. Key Responsibilities: 1. Serve as a consultative partner to campus and regional leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, change management, and culture initiatives. 2. Apply business insight and workforce data to anticipate needs, identify risks, and recommend proactive HR solutions. 3. Support role clarity, career pathing, and scope management, ensuring every team member understands their growth opportunities. 4. Lead process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance both student and employee experience. 5. Provide counsel on employee relations matters, including performance concerns, conflict resolution, and policy application. 6. Support leaders in navigating difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy. 7. Coach leaders on performance management, accountability, and communication best practices. 8. Lead quarterly internal mobility reviews, support succession planning, and partner with leaders to ensure equitable promotion and career progression. 9. Partner with leaders to anticipate faculty and staff workforce needs, address shortages, and support long-term talent pipelines. 10. Drive faculty and staff engagement through programs such as Building the Lamp and culture architecture initiatives. 11. Leverage HRIS, ATS, and reporting tools to deliver workforce analytics, equity dashboards, and customized reports to senior leadership. 12. Partner with HR Business Partners and specialists to ensure effective onboarding, documentation, and compliance. 13. Coordinate across HR functions to deliver seamless HR services while maintaining local context and relationships. Position Requirements: - Education: Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Bachelor's Degree is Required. - Certifications: HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) strongly preferred. Training or certification in change management, process improvement, or organizational development preferred. - Experience: 7-9 years of progressive HR experience supporting leaders in a complex, multi-campus organization. Experience in higher education or healthcare environments strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes through collaboration rather than direct authority. Proven track record in talent mobility, succession planning, and equitable promotion practices. Experience leading engagement, retention, and inclusion initiatives, including action planning from survey data. Strong background in process standardization, continuous improvement, and compliance. Experience in shared services or matrixed organizational structures. - Travel: Travel to regional campuses required; minimum 50% travel expected. - Skills & Competencies: Strategic HR advisory skills with the ability to connect people strategy to organizational goals. Leader coaching capabilities across performance management, accountability, and communication. Change management agility - helps leaders and teams navigate transitions effectively. Analytical thinking - leverages HRIS, ATS, and workforce analytics tools to inform decisions. Excellent written, verbal, and virtual communication skills with appropriate audience awareness. Demonstrated experience with HRIS, applicant tracking, and equity/workforce reporting platforms. - Physical & Mental Demands: This position is primarily sedentary and performed in a standard office environment, with required travel to regional campuses (minimum 50%).
