Full Job Description
Senior HR Generalist

The main purpose of PERI's Senior HR Generalist (SHRGEN) position is to partner with managers and employees to provide guidance and support on employee relations, policy interpretation, performance management, employee engagement, and compliance with employment laws. The SHRGEN does this by serving as a trusted advisor to frontline and mid-level managers, helping to address workplace concerns and ensure consistent application of company policies and practices. Leveraging PERI's resources, the SHRGEN collaborates closely with HR Shared Services, Learning & Development (Academy), and other HR functions to support business objectives and employee success. In addition, it is the responsibility of the SHRGEN position to support organizational and departmental changes as needed.

What you'll do in a typical day:

  • Serve as the primary HR resource for managers on employee relations matters.
  • Partner with HR Shared Services and Learning & Development teams to deliver HR support.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Partner with managers and supervisors to address employee issues and operational challenges.
  • Advise managers on performance management, coaching, corrective actions, and terminations.
  • Assist in developing and implementing employee engagement initiatives.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving processes and employee experience.
  • Advice and assist with policy reviews, process improvements, and organizational initiatives as assigned.
  • Support organizational and departmental changes as needed.
  • Conduct investigations related to employee complaints, workplace concerns, policy violations, and misconduct


What you'll need to be successful:

  • Post secondary degree in human resources, business administration or related field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of Human Resources experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and HRIS systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations and manager coaching.
  • Experience supporting hourly, general labor, manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or operations-based workforces preferred.
  • Experience conducting workplace investigations and handling sensitive employee matters.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to interpret policies and provide practical HR guidance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolutions skills.
  • Proficiency in Spanish preferred.
