DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, you will: - Prepare and/or review written communications and technical deliverables.
- Demonstrate and apply technical competence, knowledge of codes and regulations, and professional standards of practice to assigned tasks.
- Leverage understanding of technical scopes of work for assigned work and their alignment with overall project objectives to deliver quality assignments.
- Coach, mentor, and direct junior staff to ensure high-quality execution of project tasks, including field activities and preparation of technical reports and deliverables, while facilitating knowledge transfer for team development.
- Use developing skills to be visible in your discipline by giving internal technical presentations and/or conference presentations and attending external networking events.
- Lead technical evaluations and modeling/calculations related to geotechnical projects.
- Play a leadership role in developing design drawings and specifications.
- Conduct construction observation and oversee contractor management under the direction of the Engineer of Record, including quality control documentation and field testing tasks.
- Plan and perform all work in accordance with company and client health and safety protocols.
- Demonstrate the company's foundational safety behaviors.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills and Requirements: - Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
- 4 - 6+ years of related consulting experience with seismic, foundation design, support of excavation, and slope stability projects.
- Professional registration in the State of WA.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including verbally communicating and presenting project information.
- Desire to learn and grow in your profession, demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, resourcefulness, flexibility, and ownership.
- Specialized software applications relevant to geotechnical engineering.
Preferred Skills: - 2+ years of related Assistant Project Management and task management experience is a plus.
- Experience with seismic, foundation design, support of excavation, and slope stability projects.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training and refresher updates.
- Revit skills a plus.
The salary range for this position in
Seattle, WA is $95,000 - $120,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based upon a variety of factors such as education, related work experience, certificates, skills, and current market conditions. Haley & Aldrich reviews salary ranges each quarter to assess competitiveness with the market. This role is eligible this role is eligible to participate in the company's discretionary bonus program.
