Full Job Description
This position reports to the Controller, and will be hybrid.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Lead financial analysis and modeling to evaluate potential business expansion opportunities to support executive decision-making.
  • Identify business opportunities and develop actionable strategies and business cases to capitalize on them, partnering with senior leadership on prioritization.
  • Perform in-depth monthly variance analysis, translating financial results into clear insights and actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and support external audit requests related to financial planning and reporting.
  • Manage the annual budgeting and quarterly variance analysis processes, partnering with department leaders to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Analyze key business drivers and KPIs, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, translating complex data into clear narratives for executive audiences.
  • Develop and maintain financial dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Assist with financial close tasks as needed.


Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Great analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent computer skills; experience with Sage a plus
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills along with creative thinking about solutions with others (be able to effectively communicate with all levels throughout the department and company)
  • Advanced accounting experience preferred (variance analysis & interacting with auditors)
  • Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Motivated and able to interact with people of all levels
  • Must have the ability to function optimally in a stressful environment, and the ability to remain calm in emotionally charged situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications


Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
  • 5+ years of related accounting experience
  • Proficient excel skills (various formula functions, vlook-ups, pivot table, etc.)
  • Preference for experience working with multiple types of financial systems: including Sage, Microsoft Teams, Workday, Looker, and Meditech
  • Seeking motivated, process improvement-driven candidates


Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to move light objects weighing less than 20 pounds for short distances.
  • Ability to sit at a desk and walk around for different periods of time.
