Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities
  • Directly contribute to research and communicate findings to the public through published reports and presentations.
  • Support development of internal policy analysis to support Bank objectives related to monetary policy and financial stability.
  • Support team deliverables to advise Reserve Bank President, other senior Bank leaders, and other policymakers on matters related to your area of expertise through written analysis and presentations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with financial industry leaders and key internal and external stakeholders to advance Bank-level objectives
  • Contribute to a highly collegial and collaborative work environment.


Your Background
  • Advanced degree in finance, economics, business, or public policy, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience as an industry participant, regulator, or academic scholar
  • Substantive knowledge of domestic and global financial markets and/or market infrastructures.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent people and project management skills.
  • Commitment to public service.
  • Strong ability to work with and analyze complex data sets using R and Python.
  • Public speaking skills a plus.
  • Depending on level of experience, candidates may be considered for a Financial Markets Specialist role.


Additional Requirements
  • Travel approximately up to 10%
  • This position requires access to confidential supervisory information and/or FOMC information, which is limited to "Protected Individuals" as defined in the U.S. federal immigration law. The expected starting salary range for the Senior Financial Markets Specialist position is between $143,500 and $160,000 annually in addition to annual performance-based discretionary bonuses. Final salary and offer will be determined based on the applicant's relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographic and other market data.

The expected starting salary range for the Financial Markets Specialist position is between $115,200 and $136,300 annually in addition to annual performance-based discretionary bonuses. Final salary and offer will be determined based on the applicant's relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographic and other market data.
