About the RoleThe Senior Financial Analyst - Quant is an integral part of Latham's Global Finance team. This role will be responsible for providing financial modeling on transactional deals for the Corporate Department's leading practice groups, including Emerging Companies & Growth, Capital Markets and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), and Private Equity, while developing financial models, including proforma capitalizations, liquidation waterfalls, merger consideration spreadsheets, voting models, and IPO beneficial ownership models, for transactions, collaborating closely with lawyer deal teams. This role will be located in either our New York or our Global Sevices office in Downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & QualificationsOther key responsibilities include:
- Producing and refining client-ready financial models and effectively communicating analysis and work product to the partners, associates, and external clients on the transaction
- Advising the internal deal team and clients based on these analyses, addressing questions regarding the underlying data, analytical methodologies, and assumptions used to build the work product
- Participating in learning education classes for the firm's lawyers related to quantitative analysis and financial modelling work
- Maintaining, updating, and curating training materials, such as reference guides, training presentations, library of training exercises, and tip sheets; training and mentoring other analysts
- Promoting effective work practices, working as a team member, and showing respect for co-workers
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains
We'd love to hear from you if you:
- Exhibit excellent financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills and the ability to draw conclusions from analysis and make recommendations
- Demonstrate well-developed and professional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm
- Possess the ability to work independently to research, analyze, and develop financial information
And have:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent in economics, finance, accounting, business administration, management, or related field
- A financial/investment industry qualification (CFA), preferably
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, consulting, or M&A, preferably in a professional services organization
- A minimum of five (5) years of cumulative experience
- Experience working on transactional engagements in a time-sensitive and fast-paced environment, preferably

Pay RangeUSD $145,000.00 - USD $160,000.00 /Yr.
