Position Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst supports the Fleet Services Operating Tax Team by providing analytical reporting of data and research supporting Penske and affiliates operating tax responsibilities in areas such as sales, use, property, excise, value added, fuel & mileage, and heavy vehicle use taxes across U.S. and Canadian operations. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Query, analyze, and interpret transactional data to support tax policy, audits, compliance risks, and other operational impacts
  • Maintain the design, development, implementation, and improvements to databases and data access methodologies to ensure maximum efficiencies
  • Provide analytical support for tax engine configuration, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Support audit processes
  • Manage data requests supporting customer analytics
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously involving multiple cross-functional teams.
  • Analyze and prioritize project activities to establish realistic deadlines
  • Support departmental improvement projects, including tax exposure mitigation
  • Assist with customer support and cross-functional communication
  • Other projects and tasks assigned by management

  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
