Responsibilities

  • Drive cost and cash productivity for the plants, partnering with leadership to achieve financial goals.
  • Lead and enhance Excess and Obsolete inventory analysis and processes.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports to track safety, quality, delivery, cost, and cash metrics.
  • Lead inventory and asset reporting, ensuring accuracy and review.
  • Develop analytical tools to better understand manufacturing cost structures, including variance analysis.
  • Communicate financial and operational results succinctly to measure progress against objectives.
  • Provide variance analysis of cost center spending versus budget, identifying key trends and drivers.
  • Participate in and lead cross-functional projects focused on operational improvements.

Full Job Description

This is a high visibility, critical role supporting ourOshkosh, WI and Kewanee, ILsitesand will be the finance business partner to the cross functional leaders. You will be a key finance resource for our facilities, leading financial support for multiple value streams and processes. You will play a key role in making sure that the sites achieve their productivity and inventory related financial goals, while also leading core financial processes for the plants.You will proactively participate in key operations analysis and continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Drive both cost and cash productivity in the plants partnering with the leadership team to generate top line growth and gross margin expectations.

  • Lead and improve our Excess and Obsolete analysis and process.

  • Prepare reports ondaily,weekly& monthlybasis toassistinthe trackingand improvement of safety, quality, delivery,costand cash metrics.

  • Lead location inventory and asset reporting, review, and accuracy.

  • Drive the development of analytical tools and capabilities to better understand the plants99 manufacturing cost structure. Types of analysisincludesvariance analysis for conversion and material cost, productivity results, and Value Stream production results.

  • Understand and show capability to summarize and communicate clearly value stream and plant financial and operating resultsin order tomeasure progress againstobjectivesand to assess the effectiveness of decisions made byplantmanagement team.

  • Clearly articulate the drivers of variance, including volume, mix,inflationand productivity. Support understanding of Percent of Completion revenue recognition.

  • Provide variance analysis of cost center spend vs budget,identifyingtrends and key cost drivers.

  • Participate in and able to lead cross-functional projects focused on driving operational improvements in the plant.

  • Lead the month-end closeprocesswhich includes preparing journal entries and loading results in reporting package tool.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor99s degree in Accounting or Financerelated fieldrequired.

  • 3+ years of experience in Financial Planning, OperationalFinanceor Corporate Finance is required. At least some manufacturing finance experience is required.

  • Experience withplant standardcosting systems is strongly preferred.

  • Previousexperience working with Percent of Completion Revenue recognition is preferred.

  • Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel; experiencewith Tableau,Sievo, and/or OneStream XF is an asset; familiarity with ERP systems preferred.

  • Knowledge of US GAAP required.

  • Well organized and can prioritize multiple projects with competing timelines.

  • Interpersonal skills that build andmaintainexcellent relationships and credibility.

  • Demonstratesa high levelof understanding of how key finance and manufacturing decisionsimpactthe business divisions and forecasted operating results/cash flows.

  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.

  • Position is hybrid - requiring onsite 4 days per week at either the Oshkosh WI site or Kewanee IL site.

Pay Transparency

nVent99s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee99s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$76,000.00 - $141,100.00

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
