Full Job Description
Overview

We are seeking a full-time Senior Financial Analyst at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing sales, profitability, and expense data to report to executives and senior management.

Essential Functions
  • Prepare/analyze profitability statements by geography and segment
  • Participate in the preparation of annual budget and mid-year forecasts
  • Recommend internal process changes which will lead to greater financial and operating efficiency, driving overall business process standardization
  • Prepare various analyses/reports for distribution to executives and senior management
  • Prepare/analyze cost center (budget vs. actual) reports
  • Lead initiatives to streamline financial reporting processes for the company
  • Conduct monthly financial reviews with managers and directors as needed
  • Serve as project manager for key initiatives within the group

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or another substantially similar field
  • Must possess a minimum of 5 years work experience in finance, accounting or similar role
    Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Must be detail-oriented, can work proactively/effectively with minimal supervision, and has the ability to prioritize/multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment
  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude, work well with others, and possess excellent time management and follow-up skills
  • Superior organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail and quality
  • Demonstrates a proficient knowledge of accounting theory and methods
  • Demonstrates a technical acumen across financial technology systems
  • Demonstrates proficient presentation skills

Desired Qualifications
  • Master's of Business Administration Degree
  • Prior Oracle experience
  • Experience with Business Intelligence reporting systems (OBIEE or Qlik)
  • Experience working for a company with global operations
  • Experience in consolidating financial information of multiple companies or business units
  • Experience with project management
  • Experience writing or coding macros and integrating with system extractions
  • Prior OneStream budgeting/reporting experience
