Full Job Description
This role extends beyond traditional reporting responsibilities. The Senior Financial Analyst will lead and assist with core FP&A activities, including financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting, while improving manual processes and strengthening the finance team's operating standards. This individual will have a meaningful opportunity to shape the tools, reporting cadence, and processes that support the organization.

Key Responsibilities
• Build, maintain, and enhance dynamic financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Assist with the annual operating plan (AOP) budgeting process and drive ongoing departmental forecasting in partnership with business leaders.
• Develop and maintain cash forecasting models to support liquidity planning and working capital decisions.
• Model and analyze sales commissions, ensuring accuracy, alignment with plans, and clear reporting to stakeholders.
• Support month-end reviews and variance analysis, comparing actuals against budget and forecast with clear, actionable narrative explanations.
• Design and deliver executive-level dashboards and reporting to surface trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Identify, design, and implement process improvements and automation that reduce manual effort and increase reporting speed and accuracy.
• Leverage AI tools and large language models to automate analyses, accelerate reporting, and enhance decision support.
• Partner closely with the accounting team during month-end close to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent financial results.
• Translate financial data into concise insights and recommendations for executive and cross-functional audiences.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3 to 5 years of FP&A experience with strong, demonstrated financial modeling skills.
• Background in banking, investment banking, or corporate FP&A strongly preferred.
• Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, cash forecasting, AOP budgeting, and departmental forecasting.
• Hands-on experience modeling and analyzing sales commissions.
• Strong financial reporting skills, such as PowerBI, dashboards, DAX, data modeling, and executive reporting.
• Advanced Excel proficiency
• A clear track record of process improvement and automation, with a mindset for streamlining and scaling workflows.
• Hands-on experience or strong interest in leveraging LLMs and AI tools to automate and enhance financial analysis.
• Demonstrates strong analytical rigor and attention to detail, with a proactive, self-directed approach, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to build effective business partnerships and communicate financial insights clearly to executive audiences.

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications
• Familiarity with month-end close activities and the ability to partner effectively with accounting.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and its application to financial reporting and analysis.
• Experience supporting month-end reviews and variance analysis with clear narrative explanations.
• ERP experience such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Workday.
• Experience with SQL or data query tools for pulling and transforming large data sets.
• CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus.
• Experience in a high-growth, private equity backed, or SaaS environment.
