Full Job Description
Why Hover wants you

Hover is investing in its existing product suite and multiple nascent products to expand platform features, delight customers, and drive growth - and Finance sits at the center of those decisions. This is a high-ownership, individual-contributor role working closely with senior leaders across Sales, Marketing, and R&D. You'll join a lean, tenured team where your footprint will be immediate: real exposure to executive decision-making, a flat structure that puts you close to the CFO, and a mandate to bring analytical rigor to how Hover allocates capital.
You will contribute by

Owning business-partner relationships across Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Product, Design, and Data; driving the deeper analysis that turns "what happened" into "how do we make it happen"; influencing where Hover invests next; and raising the bar on how Hover's finance function operates.
  • Serve as the finance lead for cross-functional leaders through monthly closes, quarterly POR updates, the annual Plan, and the LRP.
  • Evaluate ROI on GTM and product investments and benchmark resource allocation against peer companies.
  • Pressure-test competing investments and give leadership a clear, defensible read on trade-offs.
  • Partner with G&A peers across HR, Accounting, and Recruiting, and contribute to executive and board-level reporting.
Your background includes
  • 5+ years in a finance business-partnership role with strong forecasting, variance analysis, and long-range planning experience.
  • Ability to build models from scratch with ambiguous or imperfect inputs, including scenario modeling.
  • Outstanding communication skills - able to distill complex analysis for any audience, from analysts to executives.
  • Fluency with AI tools as part of your everyday workflow.
  • Extreme attention to detail paired with a service mindset.
  • Experience with financial planning systems (e.g., NetSuite, Adaptive, Pigment); Hover plans in Drivetrain.

Nice-to-Haves
  • ROI analysis experience in both GTM and product contexts.
  • A track record of using AI to remove manual work from FP&A processes.
  • Familiarity with metrics like NRR, sales payback, and Rule of 40.
Benefits
  • Compensation - Competitive salary and meaningful equity in a fast-growing company
  • Healthcare - Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and dependents
  • Paid Time Off - Unlimited and flexible vacation policy
  • Paid Family Leave - We support work/life balance and offer generous paid parental and new child bonding leave
  • Mandatory Self-Care Days - A day set aside each month to allow employees to recharge
  • Remote Wellbeing Resources - We provide recurring fitness classes, meditation/ mindfulness tools, virtual therapy, and family planning assistance
  • Learning - We encourage continued education and will help cover the cost of management training, conferences, workshops, or certifications

About Hover

The Hoover Company is a home appliance company founded in Ohio, United States. It also established a major base in the United Kingdom; and, mostly in the 20th century, it dominated the electric vacuum cleaner industry, to the point where the Hoover brand name became synonymous with vacuum cleaners and vacuuming in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Hoover North America was once part of Maytag, but was sold by Maytag's new owners Whirlpool Corporation in 2007 to Hong Kong multinational manufacturing company Techtronic Industries for $107 million. Hoover International had already split from Hoover North America in 1993, and was acquired by Candy in 1995, which was acquired by Haier in 2019. In addition to producing floorcare products, Hoover was also an iconic domestic appliance brand in Europe, particularly well known for its washing machines and tumble dryers in the UK and Ireland, and also had significant sales in many parts of Europe. Today, the Hoover Europe brand, as part of the portfolio of brands owned by Chinese multinational home appliances company Haier remains a major player in the European white goods and floor care sectors in a number of countries.
