Position Summary

The Senior Finance Manager is a leader responsible for advancing financial excellence, strengthening financial controls, and supporting strategic initiatives across the organization.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this position provides strategic leadership and oversight of the organization's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, internal controls, compliance, cash flow management, and financial performance. The Senior Finance Manager partners closely with Operations, Human Resources, Business Analytics, and executive leadership to provide meaningful financial insights that support informed decision-making, operational excellence, and sustainable organizational growth.

This position supports BOH Concepts' multi-state operations by ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local financial, payroll, tax, and regulatory requirements while promoting financial accountability, sound fiscal management, and effective internal controls across the organization.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Committee, the Senior Finance Manager collaborates with executive leadership to support financial strategy, organizational planning, operational excellence, business growth, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role serves as a trusted advisor to the Chief Financial Officer by evaluating financial risks and opportunities, strengthening financial processes, and supporting informed executive decision-making.

The Senior Finance Manager leads with integrity, fosters collaboration, and models the financial stewardship, accountability, and leadership that support BOH Concepts' continued growth and long-term success.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Financial Leadership

  • Lead day-to-day financial operations in partnership with the Chief Financial Officer.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and executive reports.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Monitor organizational financial performance and communicate trends, risks, and opportunities to executive leadership.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll reconciliations, and cash management to promote accurate and efficient financial operations.


Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling financial forecasts.
  • Perform variance analysis and provide recommendations that improve organizational performance.
  • Develop financial models supporting staffing initiatives, business growth, client partnerships, housing operations, and strategic investments.
  • Partner with department leaders to establish financial goals and performance measures.


Operational Finance

  • Partner with Operations and Human Resources to analyze labor costs, staffing efficiency, client profitability, and workforce planning.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and organizational financial performance.
  • Support pricing strategies, contract reviews, and financial decision-making.
  • Provide financial support for new client property openings, operational expansions, and organizational initiatives.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of operational initiatives and provide recommendations that support profitability and sustainable growth.


Accounting, Compliance, and Internal Controls

  • Maintain effective internal controls that safeguard company assets.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local financial regulations across all jurisdictions in which BOH Concepts operates.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Payroll, and executive leadership to support compliance with multi-state payroll, tax, and employment-related financial requirements.
  • Coordinate audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
  • Recommend and implement financial processes that strengthen governance, accountability, and reporting accuracy.


Leadership and Team Development

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development to assigned finance team members.
  • Promote accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement throughout the Finance Department.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of finance personnel.
  • Foster strong working relationships across Finance, Operations, Human Resources, Payroll, and executive leadership.


Strategic Leadership

  • Partner with the Chief Financial Officer to support organizational financial strategy.
  • Participate in organizational planning and company-wide initiatives.
  • Evaluate financial risks and opportunities that support sustainable growth.
  • Provide financial guidance to executive leadership for strategic decision-making.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, new client opportunities, and strategic business initiatives through financial analysis and due diligence, as applicable.


Financial Systems and Continuous Improvement

  • Evaluate financial systems, reporting tools, and workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Partner with Business Analytics and Information Technology to support automation and reporting enhancements.
  • Develop dashboards, reporting metrics, and financial analytics that support organizational performance.
  • Promote standardized financial processes and continuous improvement across the organization.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, but not required. Equivalent progressive experience in finance, accounting, financial management, or a related field will be considered.
  • Seven (7) years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, preferably within hospitality, staffing, multi-location operations, or service-based industries.
  • Experience leading budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, variance analysis, and financial planning.
  • Experience supervising, mentoring, or developing finance or accounting team members preferred.
  • Experience supporting financial operations across multi-state and multi-location organizations preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and variance analysis.
  • Proficiency with accounting and financial management systems such as QuickBooks, FreshBooks, or comparable financial software.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local financial, payroll, tax, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Master's degree, Master of Business Administration (MBA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or a related professional designation preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements

Ability to remain seated for extended periods while performing computer-based work. Ability to communicate effectively in person, virtually, and by telephone. Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds. Ability to travel occasionally as business needs require.

Working Conditions

Work is performed primarily in a professional office environment with occasional travel to company locations as business needs require. Additional hours may be required during financial reporting periods, budget preparation, audits, year-end close, acquisitions, or other business needs.

Compensation

Compensation Range: $90,000 to $105,000 annually.

Bonus Eligibility: Eligible in accordance with the company's incentive compensation program.
