Job Summary

Bring your passion and leadership to Chartwells! As a Senior Executive Chef, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside talented professionals while leading culinary operations across a dynamic campus environment.

In this role, you will drive excellence in food quality, innovation, and operational performance-ensuring all culinary offerings are on-trend, efficient, safe, and executed to the highest standards. You'll oversee menu development, inventory and purchasing, food cost controls, and the hiring, training, and development of culinary team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set and maintain high culinary standards across retail dining, board meals, and catering operations
  • Lead, train, and inspire the local culinary team to deliver exceptional results
  • Champion Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, including sustainability, seasonality, and health & wellness programs
  • Analyze operational performance and trends, implementing strategies for continuous improvement
  • Ensure a deep understanding of daily menu offerings and confidently communicate details to customers and stakeholders


Preferred Qualifications
  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Services Management, Hospitality, or a related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • Proven experience planning and managing catering events
  • Strong leadership presence with a passion for developing teams
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food trends, quality standards, production, sanitation, and cost controls
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, and web-based tools
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization
  • ServSafe® Certification required
