Position Description
The Senior Estimator leads the preparation of detailed cost estimates and bid strategies for complex heavy civil construction projects, including roadway, utilities, earthwork, concrete paving, and infrastructure work. Reporting to the Chief Estimator, this role is responsible for developing comprehensive estimates, managing subcontractor and vendor pricing, evaluating project risks, and ensuring a smooth transition from estimating through project startup.
The Senior Estimator plays a key leadership role within the estimating department by mentoring junior staff, supporting department strategy, assisting with project buyout and initial budgets, and driving accuracy, efficiency, and profitability across all bids.
