What we are looking for:
Conti Civil is looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to lead our estimation efforts with a strategic approach to bidding and securing projects. The Senior Estimator will oversee the estimation process, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness in bids and fostering relationships with subcontractors and vendors.

Responsibilities:

• All responsibilities of an Estimator, with enhanced focus on leadership in the development of pricing strategies and negotiation processes.
• Mentor and Supervise Estimators and junior staff in estimation techniques and strategies.
• Oversee the development of detailed project estimates, ensuring compliance with all specifications and drawings.
• Lead the evaluation of potential risks and the formulation of mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate communication and coordination between project teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Direct the subcontractor/material supplier selection process, ensuring a competitive and quality-focused bid list.
• Drive the project hand-off process, ensuring seamless transition from estimating to operations.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of relevant experience in heavy civil construction estimation, with proven leadership in managing complex projects.
• Advanced degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Demonstrated success in mentoring team members and improving estimation processes.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Advanced knowledge of estimation software, project management tools, and MS Office Suite.
