Senior ERP Functional Lead - Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O
This role will serve as the primary functional liaison among business stakeholders, IT teams, and implementation partners. The ideal candidate combines deep D365 F&O expertise with strong knowledge of manufacturing, supply chain, operations, and finance processes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the functional delivery of D365 F&O implementations, enhancements, and process-improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary functional liaison among business stakeholders, IT teams, and third-party implementation partners.
  • Facilitate discovery workshops, requirements sessions, process reviews, and solution-design meetings.
  • Translate complex business requirements into practical, scalable ERP solutions.
  • Lead current-state and future-state business-process documentation.
  • Develop functional specifications, process flows, user stories, use cases, test scripts, and acceptance criteria.
  • Support process standardization across finance, supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, inventory, and operations.
  • Evaluate proposed solutions for alignment with business objectives, ERP best practices, and enterprise standards.
  • Promote standard D365 functionality while balancing business requirements and long-term maintainability.
  • Identify functional gaps, delivery risks, dependencies, and design issues and drive them to resolution.
  • Review implementation-partner deliverables and hold internal and external teams accountable for quality and timelines.
  • Coordinate functional testing, defect resolution, solution validation, and user acceptance testing.
  • Support data migration, integrations, deployment planning, cutover, training, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Help business users prepare for process changes, system adoption, and new operating procedures.
  • Communicate project status, risks, recommendations, and solution trade-offs to technical and executive stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7+ years of ERP implementation, enhancement, and production-support experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations experience.
  • Experience leading ERP functional workstreams or enterprise solution-delivery initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, inventory, operations, and finance processes.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
  • Ability to analyze complex business challenges and recommend effective system and process solutions.
  • Experience creating functional designs, process maps, user stories, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead initiatives through completion.
  • Strong stakeholder, vendor, and implementation-partner management skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and executive communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and related business applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within industrial manufacturing, engineered-to-order, make-to-stock, or project-manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management, production control, planning, costing, and shop-floor processes.
  • Experience with D365 integrations, ISV solutions, and enterprise data migrations.
  • Experience working in global, multi-site business environments.
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Previous ERP consulting or business-transformation experience.
Preferred Certifications
One or more of the following Microsoft certifications is preferred:
  • Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate
  • Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Associate
  • Dynamics 365 Manufacturing-related certification
