Senior Environmental Site Manager

Job Description

Cape Fox Mountain Point is seeking a qualified Senior Environmental Senior Site Manager. The Senior Environmental Senior Site Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of environmental remediation projects. This role provides strategic on-site leadership, ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, manages contractors and field staff, and serves as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders. The Senior Site Manager ensures all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company standards and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day on-site operations for environmental remediation projects, including soil, groundwater, and facility cleanups.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables to meet established targets.
  • Ensure strict adherence to environmental, health, and safety standards; conduct regular site inspections and lead safety briefings.
  • Oversee contractors, field crews, and subcontractors; ensure quality workmanship and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, regulators, and clients to communicate progress, risks, and technical challenges.
  • Review and interpret environmental data, engineering drawings, technical reports, and work plans.
  • Troubleshoot field issues and develop adaptive management strategies to maintain project momentum.
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, reporting, and documentation required for regulatory and client compliance.
  • Support procurement efforts, including vendor evaluations and equipment/material selections.
  • Mentor junior staff and promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.


The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at: $110,000 - $120,000.00

The above salary range represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition, for fulltime, benefit eligible positions we offer a variety of benefits including company holidays, paid time off, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life and disability insurance as well as 401K with company match.

  • Path A: Degreed Track
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, geology, hydrology, chemistry, industrial hygiene, construction management or a related field.
  • Professional Registration: Professional registration, where required by discipline/degree, i.e., Florida PE or PG.
  • General Field Experience: A minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience performing field management and supervisory duties.
  • Specialized Regional Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of experience managing environmental investigation and remediation projects at the field operational level within the state of Florida.


  • Path B: Experience Track (Non-Degree)
    • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. No college degree is required under this path.
    • General Field Experience: A minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience performing field management and supervisory duties as a Site Manager or Site Superintendent on environmental remediation or heavy civil construction projects.
    • Specialized Regional Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of experience explicitly managing environmental investigation and remediation projects at the field operational level within the state of Florida.
  • Experience executing field work in accordance with the USACE Safety and Health Requirements Manual (EM 385-1-1).
  • Current 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification (29 CFR 1910.120), an 8-Hour HAZWOPER Supervisor certification, and a current 30-Hour OSHA Construction Safety certification (or equivalent).
  • Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations (e.g., CERCLA, RCRA).
  • Proven ability to lead complex field operations and manage multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in dynamic field environments and travel to project sites as needed.
  • Familiarity with site assessment tools, remediation technologies, and environmental monitoring instrumentation.
