Job Description
To support our growth in Northern California, we are seeking an Environmental Planner to contribute to the development of innovative, accurate, timely, and high-quality products and services, typically working on multiple projects with all levels of staff. The primary duties are to prepare environmental impact analyses for a wide range of projects including natural resource, land use, transportation, infrastructure, water, and energy projects. The position includes conducting research and coordinating with public and private clients, engineering partners, technical sub consultants, and regulatory/resource agencies to prepare the analyses. The role includes working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and supporting project directors, project managers, and deputy project managers (based on the size and complexity of the project).
Key Responsibilities
• Leading all aspects of a project, including personnel allocation/planning, technical approach, and subcontractor involvement, with support from senior staff.
• Gather data, conduct research, and proficiently write impact assessments for various environmental topics (i.e., chapters in CEQA/NEPA documents).
• Assist with preparation of documents, reports, presentations, technical memoranda, public notices, forms, and other work products.
• Assist with public outreach activities, including presenting, as well as implementing communication strategies.
• Strictly adhere to professional standards, including but not limited to demonstrated consistency and reliability, timeliness in meeting project deadlines, communicate clearly and concisely, and work responsibly - on a team or independently.
• Provide support to key sector clients, including interest and availability to function as on-site client staff.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in environmental studies, urban planning, or related field
• 5 years of professional experience including a minimum of 3 in a consulting or public agency environment
Additional Skills
• Knowledge and understanding of CEQA, NEPA, and other environmental principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
• Commitment to producing quality work within established budgets and schedules.
• Strong work ethic with a positive attitude.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:
$81,147.00 - $137,949.00
