We are currently seeking a Senior Environmental Health & Safety Specialist in Natick, MA, reporting to the Director, Quality and EH&S. In this role, you will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of environmental, health, and safety programs at Exponent. You will need to be able to work independently (i.e., be an individual contributor helping to manage several occupational safety and industrial security programs).

• Working closely with technical and support staff to provide EH&S support for highly interactive, rapidly evolving, technical tasks
• Securing permits and ensuring compliance with regulatoryand internal requirements
• Conducting safety-related assessments, assigning the necessary corrective actions, and conducting follow-up
• Coordinating facility-related compliance inspections/programs
• Other duties related to EH&S, such as program development, chemical inventories, SDSs, industrial hygiene,PPE, life-safetyand emergency responseequipment, hazardous materials, hazardous waste, and ergonomics
• Performing internal audits and associated tasks to maintain Exponent27s management systems

• Bachelor27s degree in science or engineering
• At least seven years of related professional experience in one or more of these areas:
• Industrial hygiene
• Chemical or biological laboratory safety
• Hazardous waste
• Hazardous materials
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office software
• Abilityto understand chemistry as it relates to EH&S
• Working knowledge of Federal, State and Local EH&S regulations and the ability to interpret requirements as they relate to Exponent, and be capable of creating and executing plans to maintain compliance withregulatory requirements
• Ability to exercise judgment and tact when interfacing with employees (junior and senior) and outside auditors, inspectors, and/or agency personnel
• Must be a self-starter that is able to work on, and solve, problems of diverse scope and complexity
• Experience in quality assurance (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14155, or ISO 17025) is a plus
• This is a full-time, on-site position located in our Natick, MA office
• Some travel will be required
• Presently legally authorized to work in the United States.  No immigration sponsorship or processing required.
