Stantec is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Consultant to lead business growth and project delivery across the New England region (CT, MA, NH). This role will focus on expanding our remediation practice by cultivating client relationships, securing new work, and managing complex environmental projects from inception through completion. The ideal candidate is both a business developer and technical leader, with a proven track record in environmental consulting, particularly within remediation programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic business development initiatives with key accounts to expand remediation services across New England
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships with power, industrial, commercial, and government clients
- Identify, pursue, and win new opportunities by leading proposals, RFQs/RFPs, and interviews
- Collaborate with regional teams to align on growth strategies
- Maintain awareness of client needs, regulatory trends, and emerging opportunities
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams and mentor junior staff
- Support technical excellence and innovation within the remediation practice
- Perform quality assurance/quality control reviews and approve environmental deliverables
- Support and ensure the implementation of Stantec Health, Safety, Security, & Environment (HSSE) Policies in the execution of all work.
- Metrics of success include expanding the number of client relationships, expansion of geographies served and services delivered, recruitment of new team members and building out of the high functioning account team, sales, net revenue growth, and profitability.
Capabilities & Credentials
- Strong understanding of environmental remediation practices and regulatory frameworks in CT, MA, and NH
- Proven ability to drive revenue growth
- Established network within the environmental consulting market
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and client management skills
- Demonstrated leadership and team development experience
Required Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related field
- Minimum 15+ years of experience in environmental consulting, with a strong focus on remediation and client management and growth
- Demonstrated success in business development and project management
- Experience working with state and federal regulatory agencies in New England
- 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification, with Annual Refreshers is required.
- A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record are required.
- Pre-employment physical is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional licensure such as: - Professional Engineer, Professional Geologist, Licensed Site Professional (LSP) - Massachusetts, Licensed Environmental Professional (LEP) - Connecticut
- Existing client portfolio or relationships that can be transitioned or expanded upon
- Experience managing large, complex remediation programs or portfolios
- Familiarity with Brownfields redevelopment and emerging contaminants (e.g., PFAS)

Pay Range:• Locations in WA, DC & Various CA, MA, VA Areas-$151,700.00 - $227,600.00 Annually
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
