The Senior Engineer will execute Cost Reduction projects, Sustaining initiatives, and New Product Development (NPD) while having a strong focus on speed, quality, and effective coordination with timely communication. The role requires strong mechanical and thermal fundamentals to support product design, validation, and electro-mechanical integration. The individual will work closely with cross-functional and global teams to ensure timely execution of engineering deliverables.
What you will do:
- Lead/Support projects regarding commercial scroll products, with a focus on post launch engineering activities.
- Support internal/external customers and global cross functional colleagues by communicating technical details, project milestones and updates.
- Collaborate with local and global cross-functional teams (Research and Development, Design, Advance Manufacturing, Marketing, Procurement, Etc.) to advance new product development efforts.
- Coordinate prototyping, testing and validation activities.
- Identify risks and execute development and testing plans to mitigate risks.
- Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to advance new product development.
- Ensure adherence to engineering standards, quality requirements and regulatory compliance.
- Communicate effectively to all levels of the organization.
Education and/or Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
- Understanding of thermodynamics and heat transfer
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship building skills.
Preferred Experience
- 5 years of relevant work experience, including internship, new product development, quality, sustainability, lifecycle, product support
- HVAC or related industry experience
