Full Job Description
Position Summary

As Senior Engineer Industrial Services (Water and Wastewater), you will provide the Nestlé and Nestlé Purina North American zone with technical leadership and subject matter expertise for wastewater and incoming water systems across factories. You will deploy standards, governance routines, risk assessments, compliance expectations and capability-building programs. In this role, you will evaluate new technologies and provide capital project support for wastewater treatment, discharge compliance, incoming water quality, potable/process water systems, food safety and chemical contamination prevention. Working closely with cross-functional teams and factory-level engineering groups, you will support capital projects, optimize water resource systems, and ensure compliance with internal and external standards. Your work will directly impact operational excellence and environmental stewardship across our facilities by ensuring our water systems protect product quality, food safety, employee safety, environmental compliance and business continuity.

  • Provide technical expertise for wastewater treatment and incoming water systems, including process water, potable water, water pretreatment, wastewater treatment operations, discharge compliance, sampling, monitoring and system performance improvement
  • Develop, maintain and deploy technical standards, best practices, checklists, performance expectations and governance routines
  • Partner with market and factory engineering, environmental, quality, food safety, maintenance, operations and sanitation teams to identify and mitigate risks related to water quality, food safety, chemical contamination, cross-connections, capacity, treatment chemicals and water system integrity
  • Support wastewater and water capital projects including front-end engineering input, project scope development, technology and equipment selection guidance, design review, cost and risk input, commissioning and validation expectations, technical acceptance criteria and governance support
  • Lead and assist with technical assessments, incident reviews, root cause analysis, corrective action plans and risk-based improvement plans related to wastewater excursions, permit exceedances, incoming water quality issues, chemical contamination events and water-related food safety concerns
  • Build capability across the North American factory network through partnership with market and local training resources, coaching, technical communities of practice, knowledge sharing, standard work deployment and support for audit and/or regulatory-readiness activities related to water and wastewater systems


REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
  • 5+ years of progressive engineering experience in wastewater treatment, water systems and quality, industrial utilities, environmental compliance, capital project support and/or technical leadership in a manufacturing, industrial or related environment


OTHER
  • Must be willing to travel approximately 30%-60% to meet business needs


Salary: $99,950.00 to $137,630.00 per year

The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
