As part of a fast-growing, multi-functional team, you will help shape the future of advanced manufacturing infrastructure while driving design excellence, consistency, and scalable solutions across multiple U.S. sites.

As an Architectural Engineer, you will serve as the architectural authority responsible for leading architectural scope from concept development through construction support. You will partner closely with internal engineering teams, design consultants, and construction partners to deliver code-compliant, operationally effective, and scalable facility solutions that support Micron's advanced manufacturing requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Lead architectural design, planning, and construction support for semiconductor fabs, clean rooms, central utility buildings, and associated support facilities across U.S. sites.
  • Serve as the architectural SME, ensuring design quality, code compliance, life safety requirements, and alignment with operational needs throughout all project phases.
  • Develop, review, and integrate architectural systems including building layouts, building envelopes, cleanroom environments, interiors, and space programming.
  • Collaborate with Structural, Civil, MEP, Process Engineering, design consultants, and construction teams to deliver coordinated facility solutions.
  • Lead life safety planning and regulatory compliance efforts, including permitting, AHJ coordination, occupancy classifications, fire-rated assemblies, and fire protection integration.
  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, BIM models, and delegated design packages to ensure compliance with Micron standards and project requirements.
  • Support construction execution through RFI review, submittal evaluations, field support, and resolution of design-related issues while maintaining design intent.
  • Drive continuous improvement, standardization initiatives, and adoption of AI-enabled tools (e.g., Copilot or equivalent) to enhance engineering and design workflows.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. building codes, IBC, NFPA standards, permitting processes, and life safety design principles.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and delivering projects using BIM-based design and documentation tools.
  • Demonstrated understanding of cleanroom design requirements, contamination control principles, and operational facility constraints.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Architect (RA) license or ability to obtain licensure.
  • Experience serving as Architect of Record (AOR), Resident Architect, or lead architectural subject area engineer on large capital projects.
  • Experience supporting fast-track, phased, or design-build project delivery methods.
  • Multi-state architectural licensure or eligibility to obtain additional state registrations.
  • Experience developing facility standards, design guidelines, or enterprise-wide standardization initiatives.
