Senior Engineer Facilities Exton and Wayne PAThe Senior Engineer Facilities will provide technical leadership, be responsible for site facilities engineering in a major manufacturing plant, including management/coordination of external engineering resources, (contractors and suppliers) preparation of bid packages, design reviews, project management and compliance with local/state/federal codes and regulations. for assessing the facility's resource requirements. Designing and optimizing the facility's layout and critical operational systems and overseeing the maintenance of infrastructure, facilities equipment and building improvements. Perform analyses of energy use and recommend energy saving improvement to align with our sustainability long term plan, provide technical support to the maintenance and cross functional team developing project costs, operating cost, projects schedules milestone and resources requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Independently identify, evaluate, and assist the optimization of the building infrastructure gathering and analyzing data, blueprints, and reports.
- Determining facility and equipment specifications.
- Analyzing project costs and preparing budgets.
- Designing and overseeing the implementation of facility expansion, layout various system and quality control.
- Ensure that installation is maintained in a technically sound, safe, and environmentally acceptable manner, by compliance with all DSM requirements, manufacturing work processes and other relevant requirements and best practices.
- Evaluate operational systems and facility infrastructure to ascertain and improve operation efficiencies.
- Planning and coordinating infrastructure and equipment improvements.
- Coordinating and overseeing contractors' performance building improvements.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, build code, and health and safety standards.
- Establish project plans and schedules with milestones/resources and assist in estimating project costs.
- Providing in-house development and/or technical support to Operations.
- Supporting Management of Change (MOC) review process.
- Participate on HAZOP and PSA teams as needed
- Participate in Machinery Safety Assessments (MSA)
- Create, update, and or review XCN's, ECN's, drawings facility procedures, and other written documentation in accordance with GMP requirements to support facility development.
You Bring:- Bachelors or Master's degree in Engineering in electrical, mechanical engineering or related field.
- A minimum of 5-8 years of facility engineering experience or similar role in medical device or related industry.
- Experience with AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of building process and construction principles.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Projects management skills.
The salary or hourly wage scale provided reflects the pay range dsm-firmenich expects to pay the successful candidate for the position. Individual pay offered will bebased on the applicant's job-related skills, experience, relevant education, or training, and primary work location.
