Qu’allez vous faire:

Johnson Controls est à la recherche d'un spécialiste senior en composant électronique pour ses installations de R&D à Brossard, QC, à proximité des autoroutes 30, 10 et du REM. Dans ce rôle, vous serez responsable du supporter les concepteurs électroniques par l’évaluation, la qualification et l’approbation de composants qui seront utilisé dans la prochaine génération de produits d'alarme incendie ainsi que l’évaluation des impacts sur nos des gammes de produits existantes. Johnson Controls possède des centres de développement et des usines de fabrication de circuits imprimés et de produits partout dans le monde, notamment au Canada, aux États-Unis, au Royaume-Uni, en Inde, en République Tchèque et au Mexique. Vous collaborerez avec différentes équipes à l'échelle internationale. D'autres tâches liées à l'électronique, comme le soutien technique a conception et les tests en laboratoire, feront également partie de vos responsabilités.

Les systèmes d'alarme incendie de Johnson Controls comprennent des systèmes embarqués, des circuits de traitement du signal et d'instrumentation, des alimentations à découpage, des interfaces utilisateur en façade, des amplificateurs audios, des réseaux point-à-point en cuivre et fibre optique, des stroboscopes à haute intensité, des alimentations linéaires, des capteurs et des détecteurs. Vos responsabilités :

  • Identifier les composants de remplacement en cas d'obsolescence, en coordonnant et en validant les implications sur les produits existants.

  • Rechercher plusieurs fournisseurs pour les nouveaux composants spécifiés.

  • Communiquer avec les fabricants pour obtenir les spécifications et la durée de vie des composants.

  • Gérer les composants dans notre plateforme PLM (Gestion du cycle de vie des produits).

  • Rédiger la documentation propre aux composants.

  • Valider les composants intégrés à notre bibliothèque CAO et optimiser son efficacité.

  • Configurer les composants et assurer la maintenance de la bibliothèque (Altium Designer).

  • Travailler en équipe pour développer des solutions novatrices qui répondent aux besoins des produits.

Ce que nous recherchons:

  • Baccalauréat en génie électrique/électronique ou expérience équivalente.

  • De 5 à 10 ans d'expérience en conception électronique (analogique, puissance, audio ou systèmes embarqués).

  • Excellente connaissance et expérience des composants électroniques discrets.

  • Expérience des logiciels de CAO électronique (saisie de schémas, simulation de circuits, etc.).

  • Capacité de travailler efficacement en équipe, même à l'international.

  • Maîtrise d'Excel

  • Expérience du passage des produits à la production.

  • Expérience dans les secteurs réglementés (normes UL, EN54, etc.) : un atout.

  • Maitrise de l’anglais

What you will do:

Johnson Controls is searching for a Senior Electronics Component Specialist to be located at the R&D facility in Brossard, QC, close by highways 30,10 and REM.  In this role you will be responsible for supporting electronics designers by evaluating, qualifying and approving components to be used on next generation of fire alarm products as well as assessing impact on existing product lines. Johnson Controls having design centers and PCA/products manufacturing plants across the globe including Canada, USA, UK, India, Czechia and Mexico. You will be collaborating with different teams globally. Other electronics tasks such as engineering support and lab testing support would also be part of the position tasks.

Johnson Controls fire alarm systems include embedded system designs, small signal and instrumentation circuitry, switch mode power supplies, front panel user interfaces, audio amplifiers, peer-to-peer networking copper and fiber optics, high intensity strobes, linear power supplies, sensors and detectors.

How you will do it:

  • Find replacements for component obsolescence, coordinating and validating implications in existing products.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.

  • 5-10+ years of experience in electronics design related to analog, power, audio, or embedded products or systems.

  • Excellent discrete electronic component-level knowledge and experience.

  • Experience with electronic CAD (schematic capture, circuit simulation, or related).

  • Ability to work well with others in a Team environment that spans multiple countries.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

My name is Sebastien Choquette. I’ve been working in the fire detection industry for 10+ years. My experience includes research, digital and analog circuits designs. SALARY: $86,000 – 129,000 CAD Annually (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)  This position includes a competitive benefits package.
