Your Opportunity
Our Ottawa office is looking for a Senior Electrician or Technician or Technologist to join our growing, multi-disciplinary team. Responsibilities include the review and inspection and data gathering of existing electrical systems, construction administration of ongoing electrical construction, assistance with the design of electrical systems, setup and installation of portable metering equipment, review and oversight of electrical maintenance projects, and review of commissioning of electrical installations. This will require you to work closely with team members, project managers, internal and external clients, contractors and suppliers. Your Key Responsibilities
Lead a team of internal qualified personnel or external sub-contractors to perform data gathering of electrical parameters of existing electrical distribution systems.
Program, install, and download power quality metering equipment or use multi-meters to measure site electrical parameters.
Manage storage, regular testing, and usage of Personal Protective Equipment related to live electrical work.
Design, manage, and review electrical maintenance projects under the oversight of senior power systems engineers.
Assist in design, review, and documentation of commissioning of electrical installations.
Occasionally work outside of standard business hours to gather data or review maintenance projects.
Local travel within the National Capital Region for site inspections and client meetings.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills and aptitude for problem solving.
