Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program with 7 years of substation project experience; consulting experience preferred.
• Alternatively, a Technology Degree with successful completion of the FE exam and 7 years of experience; consulting preference remains.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and possesses strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to think critically and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Leadership qualities with the capability to apply engineering knowledge extensively.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead substation projects from inception to completion.
• Prepare and develop design packages, including protective relaying and control.
• Conduct substation calculations related to insulation, voltage drop, and cable sizing.
• Oversee preparation of design sketches, cost estimates, and specifications.
• Apply knowledge of IEEE, NESC, and relevant industry standards in project execution.
• Conduct field inspections for public and private utility substation facilities.
• Manage project schedules and budget while ensuring client satisfaction and adherence to QA/QC standards.
