Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Summary:

Our office in Orlando, FL is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead a fast-paced electrical team. Our Electrical Engineers focus primarily on the design of building-related projects including municipal, hospitality, higher education, entertainment, commercial, DOT and plant projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead, supervise, provide guidance and training to a team of engineers
  • Develop electrical system designs of a given project based on scope of work and/or client RFPs
  • Provide engineering design, evaluation, and planning of electrical systems for a variety of market types
  • Conduct existing building surveys and documentation of existing electrical systems
  • Develop system design calculations and selection of equipment for use in buildings
  • Write and edit project specifications
  • Prepare detailed design documents, reports, and studies
  • Perform code compliance research
  • Coordinate work with other disciplines
  • Provide construction administration services
  • Perform QA/QC of design work
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients
  • Assist in the procurement of new work including the development of client relations and participation in project interviews
  • Assist in the growth of the team and/or office

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical design
  • PE License (preferred)
  • Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines
  • Team management experience (preferred)

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-discipline team environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in the face of shifting projects and deadlines
