Senior Electrical EngineerJob Summary:The Senior Electrical Engineer will work in a fast-paced multi-discipline team environment responsible for designing building systems and producing construction documentation for institutional projects in the higher education, government and healthcare markets. We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to be part of our firm.
In this role, you will:- Design electrical systems including lighting, power, fire alarm, telecom and security.
- Develop calculations for lighting systems and associated controls.
- Develop electrical system design calculations.
- Prepare detailed design documents in REVIT.
- Perform QA/QC design work.
- Lead a project team and managing projects.
- Coordinate with Owners and Architects.
- Coordinate work with other disciplines.
- Complete code compliance research.
- Oversee and provide guidance to junior engineers.
- Assist in the procurement of new work; including the development of client relations.
You will be a great fit if:- You have a minimum of 8 years design experience as registered engineer.
- You have a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- You possess a Professional Engineer license, PE.
- You have experience with complex institutional projects.
- You have LEED experience, certification is desired.
- You are familiar with codes, standards and design guidelines.
Skills/abilities:- Excellent work ethic and attitude.
- Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance and prioritize work.
- Ability to lead a team as well as work as part of a team.
- Proficient in Revit and MS Office.
