Job Summary & ResponsibilitiesThe mission of the
SeniorElectrical Engineer is to support sustaining of released Metrology products, introduction of new designs and creation of upgrades impacting both Manufacturing and Service environments, focusing on electrical/electronics and electro-mechanical subsystems. Scope of work includes but is not limited to: component selection, BOM/revision maintenance, design specification determination, process and procedure evolution, isolation of system performance gaps within an operations environment and fixture design supporting qualification of critical parts' performance. This role will interface regularly with other engineering teams throughout the operations, service, hardware and software development organizations, reporting to the Sr Manager responsible for Sustaining Engineering
Roles and Responsibilities:- Designs & develops electrical/electronic/electro-mechanical solutions for released products
- Engineering support of products throughout the Product's Lifecycle
- Creates and evolves fixturing in support of critical part performance
- Evolves product and process design to prevent failure trends
- Validates and/or generates specification of components for existing designs
- Modifies/revises electrical schematics and mechanical assemblies using AutoCAD, Orcad, and Visio Professional software
- Maintains bills of materials for existing designs/projects
- Works closely with Material Procurement (Purchasing)
- Works closely with Manufacturing and/or Extended factories to update test procedures due to changes in components/design and process
- Implements customer and internal change-order processes
- Working within copy exactly requirements
- Occasional travel both within the USA and overseas may be required in support of Engineering Projects
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 5 years plus of related work experience, blend of development and manufacturing engineering environments
- Knowledge of Orcad, PCB design
- Knowledge and understanding of power distribution for industrial machines a must
- Must be familiar with NEC, NFPA-79, SEMI, Copy Exactly, UL508, IEC/EN safety standards
- Broad understanding of Automation Systems, Control Systems, and Power Distribution Systems including Electrical Controls, Electrical Distribution, PLC's, Pneumatics, Actuators, Servo Systems, and Mechanics is required.
- Experience with broadband light sources would be advantageous
- Experience in creating test programs to compliment fixture creation a plus.
Compensation & Growth• Base Salary Range:
$128,000.00 - $192,000.00, offered in good faith and based on experience, location, and qualifications.
