Full Job Description
Responsibilities include:
  • The design of electrical systems for dams, hydropower and utility engineering projects
  • Preparing plans and specifications of electrical systems for bidding and construction
  • Project management and/or technical leadership on large and/or complex projects
  • Providing construction administration and site visits
  • Mentoring staff; coordinating work and communication between subcontractors, teaming partners and suppliers
  • Client management


Some travel will be required.

The successful candidate must have all of the following:
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university
  • At least eighteen (18) years of relevant electrical engineering experience
  • A PE in any state with the ability to obtain in additional states within six (6) months of hire


The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
  • Experience with/proficiency in interpreting power and controls schematics
  • Understanding of/experience with technical equipment operations and maintenance manuals (O&M) and experience analyzing equipment failures
  • Experience with arc flash hazards and program development
  • Knowledge of variable frequency drives (VFD) and industrial pumps
  • Experience using MODBUS communication for controls
  • Understanding of medium voltage distribution systems
  • Experience with power system studies, system planning and operations, and equipment specifications
  • Knowledge of/experience the coordination with other engineering fields

Salary Range: $140,000 to $204,000 - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
