Full Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Greenhouse Gas Reduction (GHGR) Group.

This position is ideal for an experienced consulting engineer who enjoys leading electrical design efforts, working directly with clients, and delivering high-quality industrial projects.

In this role, you will lead process and industrial electrical engineering design for multiple concurrent projects, guiding work from concept development through detailed design, construction, and project closeout.

Responsibilities include:
  • Lead electrical engineering design for industrial and process-oriented facilities related to food/beverage, water/wastewater, and gas processing markets
  • Create process electrical engineering designs at all levels of project definition (concept, preliminary, detailed, construction issue)
  • Develop electrical designs at all stages of project delivery, including conceptual, preliminary, detailed design, and construction-issue documents
  • Design medium voltage and low voltage power distribution systems, raceway, wiring, motors, motor control and device installations
  • Design low voltage industrial control systems including raceway, wiring, fieldbus and network architecture
  • Design and review control panels and electrical systems for process applications
  • Design lightning protection systems
  • Prepare technical memoranda, engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and scope of work documents
  • Assist with construction cost estimating and project scheduling
  • Assist with scoping, proposal writing, and cost estimating for proposed projects
  • Participate in bidding meetings, on-site construction verification, and project system start up
  • Visit project site to monitor progress and other duties per the contract documents.
  • Provide technical direction to designers and technicians; review drawings and deliverables for quality and constructability
  • Serve as a technical resource during client meetings and maintain clear, professional communication with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Support client relationships and contribute to business development efforts


Occasional travel will be required.

The successful candidate will have:
  • A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience
  • Experience with power system analysis software such as SKM Power*Tools and/or EasyPower
  • Been a lead electrical engineer on a project with an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (ECP) or Design-Build delivery method


The preferred candidate will have:
  • Previous experience as a consulting engineer in industrial facilities
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license registered with at least one state with the availability for multi-state licensure
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Visual Lighting software
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work directly with clients
  • Experience mentoring junior staff or leading technical project tasks
  • Experience with applying codes, standards, industry best practices related to food/beverage, water/wastewater, and gas processing systems
