Full Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Electrical Architect (SEA), InnoTech, is the driving force on the EE-side of our next-generation innovative and technology driven products. Combining strong background of knowledge and experience with a quenchless desire to discover and apply new ways of doing things.

This position focuses on cameras and displays but also considers latest controller designs.

The SEA will lead specialists for schematics, layout, component engineering and simulation of integrity (signal, power, thermal).

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead EE development in InnoTech
  • Lead specialists for schematics, layout, component engineering and simulation of integrity (signal, power, thermal, emc), WCCA,
  • Find technical solutions; especially in response to customer RFQs
  • Define EE architecture; roadmap and standardization
  • Achieve Functional Safety and Cyber Security levels as needed
  • Define component selection
  • Continuous scouting of upcoming new technologies and components.
  • Keeping close contact with suppliers; observing competitor landscape and benchmarking
  • Understand requirements of neighboring faculties, e.g. needs from Manufacturing, Purchasing, Systems, Mechanics, SW, Optics, processing unit architecture and capabilities, etc. and create compatible designs from EE side and provide support to said faculties


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Motivated and driving, confident
  • Achiever, quick to understand problems, effective, thinking outside the box
  • Bachelor of Science required in electrical engineering or similar field.
    Master's degree preferred
  • 12+ years of working experience; thereof 8+ years as a Senior/Principal EE
  • Knowledge of ADAS applications and sensor set; Automotive experience
  • Solid understanding of digital circuit block design and their integration into products
  • Familiarity with all faculty tools
  • Good knowledge of Functional Safety and ASPICE standards
  • Basic coding and modelling skill with MATLAB/Simulink/Python/C preferred
    Versed in using AI tools
  • Strong collaboration and understanding of effective communication; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors


LOCATION AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Up to 10% travel required for this position


ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS:
  • Relocation assistance is not offered for this position, and candidates must reside within a commutable distance to Novi, Michigan
  • This role requires on-site presence a minimum of three (3) days per week, with the option to work remotely two (2) days per week
